Trey Songz performs for Lifebeat
On Friday, June 24 2011th, BET Award winner and Grammy nominated artist Trey Songz performed a special acoustic set at Lifebeat @ The BET Awards 2011 at Playhouse Hollywood. The event was the first in a planned series of fundraisers to occur annually the Friday night before the BET Awards. Proceeds from the party benefited Lifebeat.
The event was hosted by Stephen Hill, President of Programming, Music and Specials at BET Networks and Kevin Liles, Founder and Chairman of KWL Enterprises. Liles was on stage with Lifebeat executive director Ben Wymer to speak to the crowd about HIV/AIDS awareness and the importance of giving back and to introduce Songz.
Songz had his Angels in the house melting, performing a couple hits in a stripped down, stellar, acoustic set.
Also in the house that night: Lola Monroe (BET Awards 2011 Best Female Hip-Hop Artist nominee), Debra Lee (CEO of BET Networks), Terrence J (BET’s 106 & Park), NeNe Leakes (Real Housewives of Atlanta) and more. Check out a few photos below or become a fan of Lifebeat on Facebook and see all the shots.
The event was presented by BET, Lifebeat, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, KWL and Angels with Heart Foundation with sponsorship from AIDS Healthcare Foundation, AIDS Healthcare Pharmacy and radio partner KJLH Los Angeles.
