AIDS ISN’T OVER. THERE ARE AT LEAST 1.1 MILLION AMERICANS LIVING WITH HIV TODAY AND HALF OF THEM ARE MEN WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN.
1 IN 5 DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HE IS INFECTED.
NATIONAL GAY MEN’S HIV/AIDS AWARENESS DAY (NGMHAAD) is SEPTEMBER 27th
A recent CDC study found that one in five (19%) Men who have Sex with Men [MSM] in 21 major US cities were infected with HIV, and nearly half (44%) were unaware of their infection. In addition to using condoms and discussing a partner’s status, the key to reducing HIV transmission rates is getting tested.
