Lifebeat’s Hearts & Voices Artist Spotlight

Natasha Castillo

Natasha Castillo, daughter of singer Dai Ling Chuang, took an interest in music at an early age. From glee clubs and talent shows to an alternative rock band and even an a capella chorus, Natasha showed her range and diversity as an artist. Although she took a break from performing, she couldn’t stay away. She returned to the music scene by joining an off Broadway theater troupe.

After putting her time and effort into theater and vocal lessons, she discovered her love of Cabaret. She joined MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabaret) and produced several shows, working with many well-known directors and performers. Her hard work finally paid off when she released her solo show in November 2012 entitled “Anything But Ordinary.” It’s gotten glowing reviews since opening night.
