Hearts & Voices Artists
Hearts & Voices has hosted performances by literally thousands of artists over its history. The backbone of the program continues to be drawn from New York City’s hardworking grass roots music scene. The willingness of our diverse pool of performers to generously give of their time & talent is what makes this program possible.

Tell us about yourself.
“I’m a NYC-based singer/songwriter/pianist. I grew up near Detroit, listening to the classic sounds of 60s soul, Motown, and 70s pop. I like to say that storytellers and soul singers have always been my idols. Much of the music I create today takes inspiration from timeless artists like Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel, Carole King and Marvin Gaye. After releasing my debut EP Facts & Figures in 2008, I was featured in Billboard Magazine as an up-and-coming artist to watch and received an endorsement from Yamaha. I play regularly in the city and also keep a busy tour schedule, playing colleges and universities throughout the east coast.
