Idina Menzel, Gary “Baba Booey” Dell’Abate, Artie Lange, Suzanne Vega, Betty Buckley, Andy & Orfeh from Broadway’s “Legally Blonde” and more helped spread the love on Valentine’s Day 2008 by lending their support to LIFEbeat. The celebs held signings and performances at Borders stores across NYC as part of the first Love Beats AIDS campaign, a partnership between Borders and LIFEbeat.
Supporters of LIFEbeat who used the special Love Beats AIDS coupons received a 10% discount on their total purchase from Borders on Valentine’s Day. Borders matched that discount with a donation to LIFEbeat.
Special thanks to Borders, all the celebrities and authors who donated their time, and the hard-working LIFEbeat volunteers who helped spread the word, and the love, on V-Day.
