For the second year in a row, Electric Daisy Carnival, one of the biggest Electronic Music Festivals in the US is stopping in New York City on its way to Las Vegas. Lifebeat will be there on Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18th interacting with festival goers and handing out free condoms and educational materials. Lifebeat President and Howard Stern producer Gary Dell’Abate and Salt-N-Pepa’s Sandra “Pepa” Denton helped unveil The Arches of Hope at THE OUT NYC on January 17, 2013 for a fundraiser benefiting Lifebeat: Music Fights HIV/AIDS and MTV Staying Alive.

 

  The Arches of Hope is an interactive art installation in the lobby of THE OUT NYC that reflects on the impact of HIV/AIDS over the past three decades, while inspiring audiences to help create an HIV-free generation. The Arches campaign also engaged with thousand of people over social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram, where people used the hashtag #ArchesofHope to have their own inspiring messages beamed to two VIACOM jumbo screens in Times Square and to a digital tickertape embedded in the installation.

Lifebeat NYC ING Marathon Team General Information

Lifebeat is an official Charity Partner of the New York Road Runners and the 2013 New York City ING Marathon. The world renowned race is occurring on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in New York City.

Funds raised from the Lifebeat Marathon Team will fund the organization’s HIV/AIDS prevention and support programs that have been making a difference locally and nationally in the Fight against HIV/AIDS for over 21 years.
